Aileen Kavanagh

Aileen Kavanagh is Professor of Constitutional Governance at Trinity College Dublin and Director of the Trinity Centre for Constitutional Governance (TriCON). Previously Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Oxford (2010-2020), she has written widely on constitutional theory, human rights, and comparative constitutional law. Her book - Constitutional Review under the UK Human Rights Act 1998 (Cambridge University Press, 2009) - was shortlisted for the Peter Birks Prize for Outstanding Legal Scholarship by the Society of Legal Scholars. She is author of The Collaborative Constitution, which is due to be published by Cambridge University Press in May 2023.
