Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin
Roni Mann is the Director of Humanities at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin (est. 2016), where she teaches philosophy and political thought to classical musicians, in close collaboration with Maestro Daniel Barenboim. She was previously a research fellow at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB) and had taught a range of subjects at Harvard University, including political philosophy, social theory and US constitutional history. Her doctorate dissertation (Harvard Law School, 2011) is an intellectual genealogy of depoliticized finance. Her work A Non-Ideal Theory of Constitutional Adjudication (2018) devises a principled response for courts under political pressure.
